Terms of service
1. The licence
EyePlayer is licensed to you, not sold. On these terms, [publisher legal name] (“we”) grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use EyePlayer for Android and EyePlayer for PC for your own use. You may not redistribute, resell, rent, decompile or reverse-engineer the apps, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.
The apps include open-source components that remain under their own licences (listed in-app under Settings → About → Licences); nothing in these terms restricts the rights those licences grant you.
2. Accounts and seats
An account (created by signing in with Google) carries one phone seat and one PC seat: your trial or purchase is delivered to one Android device and one PC at a time. You can move a seat to a different device whenever you like — signing in on a new device and claiming the seat releases the old one, which keeps every free feature and can claim the seat back just as easily. Sharing an account so that strangers trade the seat back and forth is not what it is for, and we may close accounts that plainly abuse it.
3. Free tier, trials, and paid tiers
The free tier is genuinely free and is not time-limited. A free trial of the premium features runs once per account and once per device; when it ends you keep the free tier. Paid access is delivered while your subscription is active, or indefinitely for a lifetime licence. Which features sit in which tier can change over time, but never in a way that removes from a lifetime licence something it was sold as including.
4. Offline use
Premium features keep working offline for a bounded window (up to 3 days on trial, 14 on subscription, 30 with a lifetime licence, and never past the period you have paid for). Taking a licence offline commits that device to coming back online before the window ends; if it does not, premium features pause on that device until it next reaches the server, and resume automatically when it does.
5. Purchases and refunds
Purchases on Android are billed by Google Play under Google's payment terms. Purchases on the web and PC are sold by Paddle as merchant of record, under Paddle's buyer terms, which include their refund policy. Statutory refund and withdrawal rights in your country apply in both cases and nothing here reduces them. When a purchase is refunded, the entitlement it paid for ends.
6. Your music
EyePlayer plays, indexes and copies audio files you provide. You are responsible for having the right to use the music in your library. EyePlayer neither contains music nor connects to any source of it beyond the folders and servers you configure.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to interfere with the licensing service — probing, overloading or circumventing it, or minting entitlements you have not been granted. We may suspend accounts engaged in fraud against it.
8. Privacy
What data the apps and our server handle is described in the privacy policy. It is deliberately little: your listening stays on your devices.
9. Warranty and liability
EyePlayer is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages or other liability — including loss of data or of audio files — arising from the use of the software, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction, nor rights granted to you by the licences of the open-source components. Always keep your own backups: a USB sync deletes exactly what it says it will delete — but it does delete it.
10. Changes to the service and these terms
We may update the apps, the service and these terms. If a change to the terms is material, the date above changes and the apps will point it out; continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. If you do not accept a change, stop using the service and — if it defeats the purpose of something you paid for — contact us about a pro-rata refund.

iPod® is a trademark of Apple Inc. Android™ and Google Play™ are trademarks of Google LLC. EyePlayer is an independent project, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these organisations; references to their products are for identification and interoperability only.
